This article is mainly about how China is slowly working on changing the balance of the power in the world. It is talking about how China is improving their military and the weapons they have. They have a system called TEL ( Transporter-Erector-Launcher ). This system has a missile called the DF-31 which will be launched and could cause damage to north-western side of the United States.
China was left in a bad position after the Opium Wars. They were forced to legalize opium. British also gained access to China in many different ways including ports, etc.
